  • “Opponents to the $3.9 billion merger of Sinclair Broadcast Group and Tribune Media are coalescing in a new 15-member alliance being unveiled Tuesday,” POLITICO’s John Hendel reports. “The Coalition to Save Local Media includes right-leaning programmers, tech industry interests, telecom trade groups and public interest advocates. Its representatives tell POLITICO the coalition will allow a more unified voice before the FCC and Congress. … The coalition includes the American Cable Association, A Wealth of Entertainment channel, Cinémoi, Common Cause, the Competitive Carriers Association, the Computer and Communications Industry Association, DISH, ITTA, Latino Victory Project, NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association, One America News Network, Public Knowledge, RIDE TV, the Sports Fans Coalition and The Blaze.”
